Full Text
We were gratified on our excursion trip last Wednesday, to find the wide-awake and flourishing young city of Orange, Texas, fairly booming with business enterprises. Just before the doors of the circus and menagerie were opened, we dropped in at the Tribune office, hoping to see our handsome and genial friend, Harry, the editor of the Orange Tribune, but we found the rooms all deserted, all their inmates having gone to the circus. At the foot of the stairs we saw a live green sea turtle, lying on his back with a label on his breast, "To the Orange Tribune," with the compliments of the donor. Lucky Harris! Wonder if he lives on venison steaks and turtle soups.
