BABY MOOSE BEING
BOTTLE FED
Last Monday, Mrs. Lloyd Jamieson of Cooper Landing, on her way into town discovered a baby moose lying alongside the road at the salt lick. There was no sign of moose tracks, and the calf seemed very near dead.
Mrs. Jamieson brought the little fellow into town and left it at Dick Beissner's, where it was put into the chicken house. Mrs. Beissner fed it milk from a bottle, and it revived enough to lash out at anybody who attempted to pet it.
Mr. Carson, game warden, said he thought the calf was about a month old, and he will take it out to the moose reserve as soon as it is old enough to take care of itself. In the meantime, Mrs. Jamieson has the youngster in the corral at her farm near Cooper Landing.
