CIO Endorses Vet League

READING, Pa., Feb. 18 (LPA) The CIO Industrial Union Council of Berks County, Pa., one of the centers of the steel strike, voted unanimously last week to endorse the Veterans League of America and urge ex-servicemen to join that organization.

The council asserted that "recent developments show that the veteran in the labor movement poses, at times, a special problem and that to solve that problem an organization of union veterans is necessary. Such an organization," the council said, "has been created and has fought in the present strike situation for the rights of veterans and for the common goal of all."

The Berks County Industrial Union Council endorses the Veterans League of America as its instrument for union veterans and urges its eligible members in Berks County to join it.
