McCARTHY

Norm Lutz, Kennecott Geologist, informs us that the Bear Creek Mining Co. crew is due to arrive in Chitina today. Creeps I wish they would leave that consarned flying machine up there, but Ray the pilot says he can't live without it. This here modern transportation is jest too much for the digestive system.

Jack Weinrick at McCarthy Lodge said they had sixty people up there and ran out of beds so some of the Palmer Flying Club had to grab a sleeping bag and park themselves in the old haunted Pioneers Hall. Guess the old town really can come to life.
