Second Pheasant
Season in Doubt

Whether hunters will have their
second pheasant season in Minnesota
from November 9 to 19 depends on
reports from game wardens, Erling
Swenson, state director of game and
fish, said Wednesday.

Questionnaires have been dispatched
to wardens to determine if sufficient
birds remain after the first season
that closed Sunday to make the second
season practical, he said.

Meanwhile, state hunters were
afield enjoying quail hunting,
which became legal at the end of
the pheasant season.
