LABOR NOTES.

The following unions hold meetings tonight: Butchers, Stationary Firemen, Carpenters and Sheet Metal Workers. Typographia No. 13 failed to hold a meeting last night for want of a quorum. A short meeting of the Waiters' union was held yesterday afternoon to consider a scale. The Dressmakers' union held a special meeting last night, when final and complete arrangements were made for their ice cream social and dance to be held Wednesday evening. Prof. G. Hoffstatter gave the drill team of ten young ladies their first exercise, which was highly appreciated by all present.
