Full Text

London, Nov. 11. We hear that the rage of resigning, which was said to have got abroad, has suddenly stopped. Intimation, it is whispered, was given to the foremost of the number who intended a secession, that Conscience, or Honour, could not have dictated a resignation of all; and the more lucrative they were, the more meritorious would be the relinquishing of them; and that therefore the resignation of one place would be considered as a resignation of all. Upon which the proposed resignation was prudently retracted, with as good a grace as it could be done.
