BALTIMORE, APRIL 6.

The W. P. Gardner, who has been lately appointed Consul by Mr. Jefferson, to Demerara, is the same who was Clerk in the Treasury office, and who with Campbell and others perjured themselves by taking the books out of their respective offices, to Israel Israel's, and there prepared by night those famous publications in the Aurora, which had so extensive an influence in the election of the present Chief Magistrate. Who will say, after this, that Republics are destitute of gratitude.
