OUT IN THE COLD.
With blue, cold hands and stockingless feet.
Wandered a child in the cheerless street:
Children were many, who, he used and felt
Lovingly nestled, dreaming in bed
Carol their joy in a land of bliss,
Without a thought or care of this.
They rest, warm humanity's fold
But this little child was out in the cold
out in the cold.
Drear by the wind thro' the cheerless street,
Dashing along the merciless sleet,
A toward and shawlless man and child
Hurries along, for the storm grew wild
The salt hut tar thro' the wheatstack
Waiters their pathway sast
Alas! Attempted to the unheeded
The little was out in the cold
Out in the cold.
She had to atet, she had nother
Though has at their worlds above
