Full Text

Duel.—We learn with much regret (says the Washington City Gazette of the 8th inst.) that a young gentleman of this city, Edward Fox, jun. whose connexions in Philadelphia are most respectable, was yesterday killed in a duel. "He was quite unpractised in the use of fire arms, but insult and assault, &c. are said to have precipitated him into this resort. His antagonist, we hear, whose relations are very reputable, has been dismissed from the Treasury Department. The dismissal, under all circumstances, appears highly creditable to the Secretary."
