Master Builders and Journeymen—The Proposed Ten-Hour Revival.

At the Mechanics' and Traders' Exchange today there was felt but little excitement regarding the ten-hour movement of master builders. But few members of the Exchange were present, and although the present question was discussed, but slight interest was manifested. Two or three master masons are reported as having suspended today in order to enforce the ten-hour rule. An extensive tenement house builder also suspended work for a like cause. The order issued by master mechanics connected with the building trade, that all employers should exact ten hours' labor daily from workmen after this date, has not been enforced, and the anticipated strike for eight hours is consequently postponed. The trades union committees remained in the society rooms all day for the purpose of receiving delegations from such as should suspend work, but no suspension of any signification is heard of.
