The Senators Worn Out.
Washington, Jan. 1. — Senators at sitting under the long session has worn them out. They sigh for the comforts of their far away homes, or look longingly toward the mountains or the seashore. Any afternoon, about 2 o'clock, half or more of them can be seen stretched out on the sofas in the cloak rooms resting their shaky limbs and tired brains. Some of them are getting very old and cannot stand long continued hand work. They have a plentiful supply of mineral waters of one kind and another in the cloak rooms. But the waters do not keep them from getting drowsy. A good many are absent from their seats every day.
