Ohio Statesman.

James H. Smith, the senior editor of the Statesman, retires from the editorial chair, and is succeeded by his partner and co-editor, the talented young "Buckeye abroad." During Mr. Smith's connection with the Statesman, there has been no want of tact, energy or talent displayed in the management thereof; and while we regret the absence of Mr. S. from that community of good fellows and warm spirits, the editorial fraternity we are glad his mantle rests upon the shoulders of one so capable.
