ARMY. NAVY SECRETS ARE REPORTED STOLEN

Two Soldiers. Red-haired German Woman Are Already Under Arrest

NEW YORK, Feb. 28. - By plane and train, G-Men today fanned out across the Nation in quest of a score or more of known suspects in a highly organized spy ring which has pried into Army and Navy secrets for cash from an unnamed European Power.

Reed Vetterli, head of the New York FBI office clamped down strict silence on apparently fast growing ramifications of a plot which broke last week with the arrest of two soldiers and a red-haired German woman.

Meanwhile Col. Thomas Hanley has tightened guard at the big Army base at Mitchell Field, Long Island, where valuable Air Corps secrets have allegedly been stolen by the conspirators.
