A Scholarly Italian Thrusts the Deadly Weapon Into His Own Heart.

Nicolo M. Skowerly, an Italian, was found dead in his room on the top floor of 49 Oliver street this morning, stabbed through the heart with a stiletto.

Skowerly was well educated and came from Australia three years ago. He left several notes written in several languages on a sheet of foolscap, saying he was nearly dead and was about to kill himself. He asked all whom he had injured in life to forgive him. The notes were dated Sunday.
