Edinburgh, Oct. 12. Last Tuesday being his Grace the Duke of Argyle's Birth-day, it was observed here in a great many Companies with sincere Affection, and his many great Services to his King and Country, and in particular to this City, were remembred with the warmest Gratitude. At Dudingtoun there was great Rejoicing; and his Grace's Tenants, as one Proof of their Happiness in such a Master, which inspires them with a generous publick Spirit, made a Subscription among themselves to the Amount of 600 gratis Carriages to the Building of the Royal Infirmary, the most necessary and useful Work that ever was set on foot in this Country, which we have the Pleasure of informing the Publick, meets with great Encouragement from Persons of all Ranks.
