One hundred and thirty nine children between the ages of four and sixteen were enrolled in the two week Daily Vacation Bible School at the Baptist Mission Church on the Shiprock Mesa.
Average daily attendance was one hundred and fifteen with fifteen earning perfect attendance awards, which were presented at the final evening program for parents and friends.
Classes were conducted daily Monday through Friday from 9 A.M. to 12 noon, for the younger children. The Intermediate group met every week day evening at 6:30.
The following volunteer workers supervised the various departments: Beginners, Mrs. Lodis Blaylock; Primary, Mrs. Thelma Shive; Junior, Mrs. Barbara Briggs, summer worker at the Mission from Albany, New York, and Intermediate, Allen Neskhi.
