Reads Of Stab Victim's Death, Gives Self Up

An Atlanta man voluntarily surrendered to police Monday after a death notice in a local paper informed him that his stab victim was dead, police disclosed yesterday.

Horace Adams of 60 Daniel St., S. E., Apt. 1, was lodged in City Jail after surrendering to police in the death of Bradley Jones, 48, of the same address.

Jones died after being wounded Saturday in an alley in front of 490 Old Wheat Street N. E. police said. He had suffered stab wounds of the back, left shoulder and the back portion of his head.

Police said Adams surprised clerks in the Station Captain's office by announcing he wanted to surrender after reading about the death in the paper.
