A correspondent, who attended the exhibition at Mr. DeARBorn's Academy, in this town, on Tuesday and Wednesday last, cannot withhold paying the Preceptor and his pupils that tribute of applause which is due to his intelligence, industry and ability, and their docility and pleasing deportment. The pieces exhibited were judiciously selected--and pronounced and acted with much propriety. The Hall was crowded with a respectable auditory--among whom was four or five of our Reverend Clergy who united with the rest in giving preference to the modes of education which are now adopted in our various schools and seminaries of learning.
