MORE FRAUDS.

Various persons in Baltimore have been arrested, charged with being concerned in a system of fraud on the Government by the mustering out and paying off of men as soldiers, who were not soldiers, and the fraud, it is represented, was traced to the Hicks U. S. General Hospital, situated in the Western suburbs of the city. Capt. D. L. Beckwith, of the Veteran Reserve Corps, occupying the position of assistant Commissary of Musters, of the Middle Military Department, and stationed at the Hicks Hospital, was arrested on Wednesday by Capt. Sherman, assistant provost marshal, by command of Col. Wollyey. He with the others, (whose names are withheld from publication for the present) are charged with these frauds. Seven of the citizens arrested have been sent to the city jail, as was also Capt. Beckwith, where they will be kept in close confinement to await further developments in the case. It is evident that the frauds in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and perhaps other cities, in this way have been large.
