Full Text

To the Reverend the CLERGY of Virginia.

Reverend Brethren,

I CANNOT refrain myself from soliciting you at this time, and in this the readiest and most expeditious manner, that there may be a convention of our body, as soon as it may be had with convenience. I dare say you have already in your thoughts anticipated the occasion of this request, and I flatter myself it will appear full as reasonable and agreeable to yourselves as it does to me. I wish I may be so fortunate in appointing a day for this purpose that it may be generally convenient, and the weather at this season of the year may prove favourable for your coming to this place. I shall be happy therefore in having the opportunity to meet you at our College on the 1st day of the next month. In the mean time I am, Reverend brethren, with the greatest esteem,

Your most faithful and affectionate servant,

JAMES HORROCKS.
