"Tim's Easter", an Easter playlet written by Dr. Ralph Mark Gilbert, will be presented on April 2, at the First African Baptist Church. This Easter sunrise service will be the first of its kind since the death of the author, Dr. Gilbert.
Dr. Gilbert was one of the nation's leading religious dramatists. He has written several dramas dealing with the nativity of Christ. On several occasions, they were presented to capacity audiences at the Municipal Auditorium. Among his plays were the "Passion and Triumph", "Pontius Pilate", "The Resurrection", "The Easter Lily", "The Guiding Star", "The Peasant of Galilee", "The Ascension", "Tim's Easter" and several others.
The play is being sponsored by the B.T.U. of the First African Baptist Church and is under the direction of Mrs. Juanita Gilbert Robinson, daughter of the late author.
The public is invited to attend.
