A Queer Pursuit of Happiness.
From the Paris Morning News.

The following letter has been sent to M. Pasteur by Mme. Alice de Velsayre, a literary lady and sanitary officer:

"SIR: I was bitten by a mad dog in 1878, but the wound having been cauterized nothing further happened. It would perhaps be curious to see whether your vaccine takes effect upon people already inoculated, if that term may be used. In my case I shall be happy to try the experiment, and I therefore ask you to fix the date, so that you may inoculate me as soon as you can find time to do so."
