Four additional new teachers for the 1957-58 school year were approved by the Board of Education, Monday night, upon the recommendation of Dr. O. J. Korb, superintendent of schools. Two teachers, presently filling posts, were approved for the remainder of this school year. All are in the elementary classification. They are: Miss Norma Parks, 465 East 142nd St., who attended Villa Angela and Ursuline College and will graduate this September from Western Reserve University. Miss Marilyn Rex of Homerville, Ohio, a June 1957 graduate of Kent State University. Mrs. Constance Garcia, who has taught a year since her graduation from the College of Wooster, and Miss Barbara Dunn who taught here formerly and is returning to teach again.
Mrs. Nancy Carlson Ulf, 15975 Nelacrest is from Titusville, Pa., and a graduate of Wilson College for Women and Edinboro Pennsylvania State Teachers College. Mrs. Ulf is finishing out the year at Caledonia, teaching the classes of Sandra Schudel. Another vacancy at Caledonia is being filled by Cornelia Stockstill.
The board authorized N. F. Leist, assistant to the superintendent, to advertise for bids for the undercoating work at Shaw Stadium.
