ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Nov. 4.—(AP)—Sudden worsening of the weather forced round-the-world fliers George Truman and Clifford Evans to turn back late yesterday to Naknek, where they had taken off at 4:09 p.m. (PST) for Anchorage.

The brief announcement that the two Cub plane pilots were returning to Naknek, at the base of the Alaska Peninsula, was made by Army authorities at Elmendorf Field about the time they were expected to arrive here.

No details of difficulties encountered by Truman and Evans were contained in the Army report, outside the fact that poor weather prevented them from completing their 300-mile three-hour Naknek-Anchorage hop.
