Democratic Advice.
The American Flag believes if California is to be saved from civil war, it must be done by prompt, bold and extreme measures. A few months ago Chipman, in addressing a San Francisco Democratic gathering, intimated that resistance to the Government might be resorted to under certain circumstances. But Weller, Charles L., brother of the ex-Governor, is bolder. In a Democratic harangue last week he openly declared that the Government ought to be resisted, advised preparations for resistance, and threatened the loyal authorities of California with "forty-five thousand armed Democrats."
This, be it remembered, is the individual who issues supplicating circulars to the K. G. C.'s of the State as chairman of the "Democratic" Central Committee.
