MR. LAPSLEY ALONE
IN SAN ANTONIO
Correction Follows Erroneous
Statement Made In Recital of
the Divorce Proceedings.

An erroneous statement made in a
story published December 30 in relation to a divorce recently secured by
Mrs. J. S. Lapsley in St. Louis calls
for a correction on the arrival of Mr.
Lapsley in San Antonio last evening.

Following a telegraphic message to the
effect that the divorce had been secured, the story recited that "Mr. and
Mrs. Lapsley arrived in this city
last spring.

It develops that Mrs. Lapsley has
never been in Texas: that the couple
had not lived together for several
years; that Mr. Lapsley arrived here
alone on March 4 last, registered at the
Menger hotel, where he lived for a
month prior to taking up his residence
at the San Antonio club, where he has
lived since.
