Full Text

The friends of Gen. Fremont, not satisfied with their Cleveland Convention, have called another one, which is to meet at Baltimore on the 15th of June. They have secured their, on dit, the fine hall of the Maryland Institute, in which it was expected that the Union Convention would have been held, and that body will consequently have to put up with the Front street theatre. It is also rumored that quite a number of the delegates elected as Lincoln men are secretly pledged to vote against him. This may be so, as it is well known here that some of those who have asked the most favors from the White House, are foremost among the opponents of Mr. Lincoln's re-nomination. The hostility to Mr. Seward, which had for a time apparently died away, has broken out afresh, and a scathing review of his diplomacy is now being prepared for popular distribution by a competent person.
