Jersey City Girl Wins Bathing Girl Revue at Galveston

Galveston, Texas, May 24.—Faced with keen competition, including eight beauties from foreign countries, Miss Dorothy Britton of Jersey City won first place in the annual international bathing girl revue, which ended here early today.

Miss Britton, entered as "Miss New York," was named "Beauty Queen of the Universe" after she had been designated "Miss United States" in competition with entries from 26 American cities.

She received $2,000 in gold and a silver plaque. She is a slender demi-blonde.

Ada Williams, as "Miss Florida," placed second and won $1,000 in gold. Miss Rosa Blanz, representing Luxembourg, captured third place and $500.
