Full Text

July 23.

At the last audience under the minister of war, we remarked that the marquis De la Rochejaquelein, who in the first fifteen days of June had been officially killed in five or six reports which the government had published, appeared to enjoy a very fine resurrection: and it was necessary to have the Moniteur in hand to perceive in him the appearance of a man who had been buried.

We count, in the army, 187 superior officers, who, in the late events, have remained faithful to their oaths; either by following the king, or by refusing to serve anew under Bonaparte.
