Ten Persons Hurt
In Two Car Crash

As a result of a collision of two cars at the intersection of the Judson and Winnup Roads, known as Ellsworth's corners, Sunday afternoon seven persons were treated in Community hospital, Bowling Green.

The cars involved in the accident were a Pontiac driven by Emerson Davis of McClure accompanied by his wife, Elsie and two children, Raymond and Patricia. A 1946 Nash operated by Robert Kibby were Mrs. Kibby, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Ludwig. Other occupants were Ruth Zwayer and Edna Whittington. Mr. Kibby and Mr. Ludwig operate the L. & K. Motor Sales, and recently reopened the New Moon restaurant and service station near Grand Rapids on the north side of the river.

According to those who arrived early on the scene of the accident, stated the impact of the cars was so great, they flew through space, clipping off a utility pole and anchor and came to a stop on the lawn of John Thomas. The occupants of the Nash were traveling south on the Winnup road and the Davis car was going east.

The injured:
Mr. Davis. scratches, bruises and minor head injuries. He has been released.
Patricia Davis, scratches.
Raymond Davis, broken left shoulder and head injuries.
Mrs. Davis. rib fractures.
Mrs. Kibbey, pelvic injuries. She was moved to Flower Hospital, Toledo, Monday.
Mr. Kibbey, cuts on head.
Mrs. Ludwig, cut over right eye; moved to home of sister, Mrs. James Feehan, Custar.
Mrs. Davis and Raymond remained in Community Hospital.
