GIANT.—They are growing a giant at Caughnawaga in this State, who promises to overtop all competitors in this country or Europe. His name is Lampman, and he is sixteen years old, weighs two hundred and ninety-eight pounds, standing six feet seven inches in height, and growing fast. He is described by Dr. Smith as a tall, awkward, good natured, sixteen year old boy. He is believed already to have the longest legs on the continent, and has actually grown nine inches the last year. He is an ambitious youth with a great desire to outgrow all creation, and it is quite likely to be reached, for he has good health and good habits. The Doctor thinks he will reach at least another foot, and on the whole we have a very good prospect of raising an Empire State Giant. N. Y. Post.
