Event Details
Two men from Chelsea left Martin's Tavern in Lynn in a canoe to return home. The canoe overset accidentally. They held on and cried for help. Many people assembled with four boats and lanterns, but could not find them in the dark despite being close. They called out by name but after nearly two hours, their strength failed and they sank.
