Strasburg, 30 Frimaire, Dec. 11.
The report that has been in circulation, of a courier having arrived at Suwarrow's quarters with orders to suspend his march, is altogether void of foundation; on the contrary, the march of the Russian troops, who are returning home, still continues; they are no longer any of them in Swabia, and the greater part of them have already advanced beyond Bavaria. It is rumoured that they will only go to Bohemia, to take up their winter quarters, and that on the return of the spring they will march back to the Rhine-this may be probable, but hitherto no certainty is annexed to it. It is, however, true, that the Court of Vienna uses all the means and influence it possesses, either at Petersburg, or at London, to dissuade the Emperor Paul from his resolution of withdrawing Suwarrow's army back to Russia.
