Full Text

According to some Advices from Copenhagen, an Officer of the Marine, who has been twice or thrice at Greenland, has laid before some of the principal Officers of the Navy his Reasons for supposing there is an open North West Passage into the South Seas, founded chiefly on his own Observations and Facts, certified at his Instance, by the principal Inhabitants of the Danish Colony, in the Country before-mentioned, and the Seamen who have been employed in Davis's Streights. It is said this Dissertation is equally ingenious and curious, but that it is not thought proper to commit it to the Press.
