SALEM, April 8.
ELECTIONEERING.
Yesterday was the day appointed by the constitution for the inhabitants of this commonwealth to give their votes for governor, and lieutenant-governor. At the close of the poll in this town, the votes were declared to be as follows:
GOVERNOR.
His Excellency John Hancock, Esq.
Hon. Elbridge Gerry, Esq.
James Bowdoin, Esq.
LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR,
Hon. Benjamin Lincoln, Esq. 316
Samuel Adams, Esq.
James Warren, Esq.
Votes in Marblehead were as follows:
GOVERNOR.

LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR
