Full Text

Ministers and Lynching.

The Atlanta preachers have not yet ceased talking about the Hose burning at Newnan. To-day both the Evangelical Ministers' Association took the matter up again. It proved too warm for comfortable handling, however, and the Methodist ministers, after their discussion over a set of resolutions commending the action of the mob, allowed them to go upon the table without action.

The resolutions before the Evangelical Ministers' Association met the same fate. In both meetings the introduction of the matter caused some very warm talk by the preachers.
