Canada.—The accounts from this country would, if published as given in detail from day to day in the New-York papers, occupy much more space than we can devote to one subject. We have however drawn pretty largely upon them, in order to give a view of what is there doing. It appears evident to us that so far the Royalists, as those devoted to the government are called, have decidedly the advantage. In nearly all the skirmishes that have taken place, the patriots have come off second best—and indeed we are inclined to think they are not so good and brave soldiers as the government troops, though fighting as they claim for their liberty and independence. They make no such bold stands as our rebel forefathers did at BUNKER's HILL and other places. From what we can gather by implication from the Canada papers, we are inclined to believe also that there has been some hanging in Montreal under martial law. But we shall hear further in a few days—and our readers shall have the benefit of the information.
