On Wednesday, the 28th ult. was ordained to the pastoral charge of the church of Christ in Dover, the Reverend Mr. Robert GRAY. The Rev. Mr. Hasey, of Lebanon, opened the solemnity with prayer; the Rev. Samuel Haven, D. D. of Portsmouth, delivered an ingenious, pertinent, and profitable discourse, from 1st Thessalonians, iii. 8; the Rev. Samuel McClintock, of Greenland, made the ordaining prayer: the Rev. Benjamin Stevens, D. D. of Kittery, gave the charge; the Rev. John Thompson, of Berwick, gave the right hand of fellowship: and the Rev. Benjamin Balch, of Barrington made the concluding prayer.

At the entrance of the council into the church, the 10th hymn of the first book of Dr. Watt's collection was sung, with great propriety, by a choir of singers; and the exercises were closed by an anthem from the 2d chap. of Luke. A crowded assembly did themselves honour, by the propriety of their conduct, comporting with the solemnities of the day.
