To Pay Tribute

RAPID CITY, S. D., August 31—President Roosevelt last night turned westward to Salt Lake City as he temporarily put aside his study of Drought conditions in order to pay tribute at the burial of Dern, late secretary of war. At Salt Lake City the president will attend the funeral services for Dern and at their conclusion will head immediately for Des Moines for his long waited conference with Governor Alf M. Landon of Kansas, the republican nominee, on drought problems.
