South Harrison street, yesterday after-
afternoon found the body of the supposed
Camden, N. J., man, who was drowned
in the Delaware river at Pennsgrove,
on last Sunday. The man was a mem-
ber of a party of fifteen men, who
came down the river on a sloop and
anchored off that place. The drowned
man dived overboard and failed to come
to the surface.
The body was found floating in the
river at Fenton's Beach, about a
quarter of a mile from the place where
he was drowned. Reed and Seal were
in a launch owned by the latter. Robert
Smith, Frederick Ridings and Samuel
Hill, who were in the launch Red
Rock, also saw the body at about the
same time. It was towed ashore and
the authorities at Pennsgrove were
notified and later removed the body
to that town. It will be taken to Phil-
adelphia as soon as the man's name is
learned and whereabouts of his people
made known.
It is said the man lived in vicinity
of Thirty-third and Poplar streets in
Philadelphia.
