How to carry an Election.—We find in the New York papers the following notice:

Another person was arrested yesterday on a charge of having falsely sworn in his vote at the recent Election—in the Sixth Ward. In his examination before the police magistrates, he admitted that he had only declared his intention of becoming a citizen on the 1st of July last, but protested that he did not understand the oath that was administered to him. From the affidavits, however, of several residents of the Ward, it appeared that the man, on offering his vote, was challenged, but refused to swear, and went out of the room; but at the solicitations of several who surrounded him, again went forward, and took the oath. He was committed to Bridewell, to await his trial for the offence.
