OHIO.—The Legislature of this State convened at Columbus on Monday, the 4th inst. T. W. Bartley, Loco, of Richmond, was chosen Speaker, of the Senate, receiving 19 votes to 14 for David Chambers, Whig, of Muskingum—Scattering.

The House was organized by the choice of J. M. Galligher, of Clark Co. as presiding officer, the vote standing:

Mr. Hawkins gave notice that he would at an early period, introduce a bill for the Repeal of the Banking Law of '42 and '43.

We hope the locofoco editors in Vermont will now find out which party has the majority in joint ballot, in the Legislature of Ohio. They have all along said their party had a majority.
