NIGHT RIDERS
APPLY TORCH

CINCINNATI, O., March 26.- Night riders visited Covington, Ky., this morning, applied the torch and destroyed the immense tobacco warehouse of T. S. Hamilton & Company. The loss will reach $150,000. Six residences were destroyed.

Oil was used to start the warehouse fire. So rapidly did the fire spread that the residents of the houses adjoining, City Auditor Gould and family, had barely time to escape. They saved nothing from their home and had Mrs. Gould not been awake at the time of the fire the family would probably have been burned to death.

Miss Nellie Feeney, daughter of saloonkeeper Feeney, was ill in her room and had to be carried from the building. The rescue was effected just before the roof of the building burst into flames.

In little less than an hour after the fire was discovered the whole block was ablaze.
