WAR ON GUNMEN
Palermo, Sicily, Feb. 1.- (AP)-
An attempt is to be made to weed out in Sicily the kind of men who grow into "gunmen" and other killers. Premier Mussolini has declared war to the death on the Mafia, parent of the "Black Hand" organization, which has spread from the rustic backwoods of this island to the far corners of the earth, carrying death, crime and terror with it.
The Premier has ordered Signor Mor. Sicilian chief of police, to clean up the island at any cost and to keep it clean. "Fascism which has liberated Italy from so many wounds" Mussolini said, "Must cauterize the wound of Sicilian criminality, with iron and fire, if necessary."
