Don't know whether your Customers, have a Right to call on you for the Explanation of any Piece they see in your Weekly Gazette, when under the Name of another Person.
However, if you or any of your Friends will endeavour to explain the above Advertisement sign'd J. Hamilton, so as that it may be understood what the said Hamilton wou'd mean by it, it being neither Sense or good English as it now stands, you'll oblige some of your Readers.......Not that the Gentleman it's suppos'd he meant by the good 'Squire will ever think any Thing that he the said Hamilton can possibly say or jumble together worthy of his answering-
Hereafter some Parts of the said Hamilton's Conduct will be made publick, when, suppose it will plainly appear he was not one of those the pacifick Sage * meant, and that he might have sail'd down this River in the Ship Friends Adventure had there been proper Management and Intention, though the good 'Squire could not sail thro' with her.
