Full Text

Charleston, (S. C.) July 12. A well informed correspondent assures us, that at a general court-martial held on the militia delinquents a few days past, no less than 800 persons plead being aliens; therefore these aliens are to enjoy all the liberties and privileges equal with our citizens, and not be obliged to do militia duty, nor be compelled to sit on juries; they are also, at the same time, to take the bread out of the mouths of those faithful whigs who bore the heat and burthen of the war, numbers of whom are now, at this moment, in a starving condition, with numerous families.

O happy times! O glorious Independence!
