Full Text

For the Widow and Fatherless. —
To-morrow evening at Piper's Opera House, a most excellent dramatic entertainment is to be given, for the benefit of the widow and children of Patrick Curran, recently a member of the Virginia Fire Department, who died of pneumonia six weeks ago yesterday, leaving a wife and five daughters poorly provided for. They are now in a destitute condition, two of the unfortunate children being afflicted with paralysis, and all very much in need of assistance. The Sue Robinson dramatic company, including Nobles, Lindsay, Marsh, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Robinson, Miss Grace Hazlitt and others will appear in choice plays. But aside from this attractive consideration everybody for true charity's sake should take at least one ticket. Help the widow and fatherless in this their hour of need.
