DURHAM, N. C. -- William Jones, Business Manager at North Caro- lina College has been elected Presi- dent of the American Association of College Business Officers. Announce- ment of the election was made fol- lowing the 18th annual meeting at Hampton Institute, Virginia, over the weekend.
Other officers for 1958 are Wen- dell G. Morgan, Vice-President. Ho- ward University, Washington, D. C.: B. A. Little, Southern University, Baton Rouge, La., (re-elected) Sec- retary; S. V. Jetter, Clark College, Atlanta, Ga., Assistant Secretary; and G. G. Birchette, Atlanta Uni- versity, Treasurer.
Don A. Davis, Hampton Institute, was re-elected Placement Officer. Harold K. Logan, Tuskegee Insti- tute, retiring president and S. A. Parks, Maryland State College, were named to the Executive Committee.
The 19th annual session will be held in Washington, D. C., in 1958. Headquarters will be the Willard Hotel.
Mrs. H. S. Scarborough, Purchas- ing Officer, and I. W. Knight, Ac- countant, accompanied Mr. Jones to the meeting.
Jones served as treasurer of the business group for four years before his election in 1955 to the vice- presidency.
