Members and friends of the Organist and Choir Directors' Guild and Chorus, of Boston, last Saturday attended the concert given by the Berkshire Festival Chorus and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Present in the big concert shed was a crowd of 9000. The concert was under the direction of Robert Shaw, eminent choral director. Among those making the trip were Mesdames Leah Williams, Ella Roan Harris, Edna Willoughby, Alberta Carrington Valentine, Ida Foster, Martha Burch, Arabelle Hinton, Violet H. Bovell, Muriel Sinclair, Mr. and Mrs. James Braithwaite, Dr. and Mrs. Reed of Philadelphia, Misses Ruby Stevenson, B. Alleyne, Messrs. Elwyn Barrows, Roland Braithwaite, Paul Broadnax, and George Warner.
A member of the party said: "It was a most thrilling experience to join the 9000 devotees of music all worshipping at the shrine of St. Cecelia in the ideal surroundings."
